The flexible high capacity test system (SCT) is designed for testing and grading of either single ultracapacitors or blocks of capacitors (parallel - serial). The system meets customers' specification in regards of voltage range, current range and number of circuits.

The controller provides constant current, constant voltage, constant power or constant resistance operation. Steps can be terminated and data can be registered by time, current, voltage, Ah or Wh. 

Each SCT is provided with its own programmable control and power unit. The power unit is a linear transistor circuitry with high stability and accuracy and guarantees fast slew rates and low noise DC output.

Paralleling of circuits provide high current and high power applications and the modular plug-in design allow for ease of servicing.   

To meet requirements for leakage current determination and magnitude of self-discharge, current range switching and relay cut-off of input channels is realised.

The SCT is controlled by BTS-600 PC software which includes a pulse profile editor to run test regimes with high frequent consecutive steps. The Equivalent Series Resistance (ESR) is calculated  by BTS-600 and the open architecture of BTS-600 allows to create your own function. 

Multiple safety protection, such as global software limits for all test parameters and a variety of hardware based limits are integrated.

As an option high speed data acquisition, additional input channels for temperature , pressure, voltages, digital I/O's and serial interfaces RS 232 or CAN are available.  

The Ultracapacitor Test System, UCT, is designed for R&D and production lot testing of Ultracapacitors.
